This past Sunday evening our church had its annual Hanging of the Greens service. Part of the service included the children dressed as characters from the Nativity scene. Aaron was a donkey while Ethan was dressed as a wiseman carrying gold. Their only job was to stand on the stage while pianist played through Away in the Manger. Aaron does not like to stay in one place so he began crying then decided to leave the stage by sneaking through the teenagers that were singing on the other side of the pulpit. Unfortunately, he was caught and put back on the stage which caused more crying. Eventually he just went limp and fell to the ground.
At least he entertained the congregation.....
