How to Talk to Little Girls

A friend posted this article on Facebook and I thought I'd share it on my blog.  I don't have any little girls (yet!), but several of my friends have little girls and I find myself wanting to 'ohhh' and 'ahhh' over them.  After all, there are so many cute, adorable outfits and accessories for little girls and let's face it, they look cute!  but I agree that we shouldn't focus so much on their outward appearance.  There's nothing wrong with a compliment. I mean, don't we all enjoy it when someone says something nice about our hair, makeup, or outfit?  But as a woman, I know how easy it is to become a little more preoccupied with looks.  We are bombarded with images daily about how women should or should not look.  So even though it may be completely innocent to gush over a little girl, I don't want to ever add to the pressure they might feel to look a certain way.
